The amazing power of meditation
Meditation has a number of benefits for your mental and physical health and when practiced regularly, it can improve the quality of your life at a biochemical level, helping you to feel grounded, centered and aligned with the universe. Did you know that we have an estimated 60,000 to 80,000 thoughts per day, that’s up to 3,300 thoughts per hour! It’s no wonder we’re struggling with stress and anxiety.
During meditation, you focus on quietening down your thoughts and worries. Notice that we said quietening down rather than silencing - it’s about getting in touch with your breath, allowing it to guide you into a state of tranquility, allowing yourself to just be. The power of meditation is profound, as little as five deep breaths will help you to relax, unwind, decrease neurological activity and enjoy being in the present, in your body, at peace.
